For those new to this list, the conference will be held at Ascham School in Sydney and our Keynote presenters are: Lilla Gábor (Hungary), Chris Shepard (USA), Richard Gill (Australia), Dr John Feierabend (USA) and Deanna Hoermann (Australia)
Key Presenter Spotlight – Lilla Gábor
Lilla Gábor was born in Budapest, Hungary. She graduated from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music with honors, majoring in Choral Conducting and Music Pedagogy, and pursued post-graduate studies at the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts and at Temple University (Philadelphia, USA) in Contemporary Music, Chamber Music, Piano Accompaniment and Choral Conducting. She was recipient of grants from the Hungarian Ministry of Culture for musical research in Italy and Spain.

Details of the onsite accommodation are now available and on the website. The is a limited number of rooms in the boarding house, and remember, it is a boarding house with shared bathrooms. Program update
Details of most presenters and sessions are now on the website, just a couple more to be added so make sure you keep any eye on the program page. We have also started to add information about the choirs who will be performing at concerts.
NSW Accreditation
Kodaly Music Education Institute of Australia, NSW, through the Professional Teachers’ Council NSW – Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES) (formerly the NSW Institute of Teachers) as the endorsed provider of Institute Registered professional development for the maintenance of accreditation at Proficient Teacher level.
Scope of Endorsement
- All Standards of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers at the level of Proficient and Highly Accomplished teacher
- Standards 1-6 of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers at the level of Lead teacher
Selected sessions at the KMEIA National Conference 2014 are registered with BOSTES for professional development at Proficient Teacher level. These sessions address the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers: 1.2.2; 2.1.2; 3.3.2; 6.2.6; 7.4.2.
